NeilMed® SINUS RINSE™ is a natural and soothing nasal rinse with saline solution. Based on recent medical studies, rinsing your nose with light pressure and a large amount of saline solution has been proven to be the most effective way of cleansing your nasal cavities, frontal sinuses and sinuses. Daily flushing is safe and keeps nasal cavities clean, healthy and open.

We strongly recommend that you store the Sinus Rinse nasal spray hygienically using the NasaDock Plus Storage Kit.

Difference between normal and extra strong

A normal strength (isotonic) saline solution is defined as 9 mg of sodium chloride per ml of water. Larger concentrations of sodium chloride are defined as extra strong (hypertonic). Limited research shows that an extra-strong saline solution is more effective in shrinking the nasal mucosa or relieving nasal congestion in a short period of time. The stronger concentration draws more water out of the congested nasal tissue, providing faster relief of symptoms. You may experience a slight burning sensation temporarily with the hypertonic solution. If this burning or uncomfortable feeling does not go away, use NeilMed normal strength nasal rinse salt.

Use only NeilMed Sinus Rinse nasal rinse salts

To rinse your nasal cavities, use only NeilMed® Sinus Rinse™ nasal rinse salt. Our sachets of salt contain a blend of controlled-grade sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate. This salt is of the purest quality and contains only natural ingredients. You mix one sachet of saline in 240 ml of lukewarm water.
We advise against making your own saline solution. Using the wrong concentration of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate can lead to insufficient relief of your symptoms or even a stuffy nose.
Moreover, (table) salt is not pharmaceutical grade. It may contain impurities, making it unsuitable for medical use.
